This mabe pearl ring is crafted from genuine 14K white gold and centers a domed pearl of thirteen to fourteen millimeters, filling a smooth polished rim almost edge to edge. A flower of bezel-set genuine diamonds is laid off-center across its lower left, so the eye travels across the face instead of settling in the middle. The shank splits into two open loops, giving this fine jewelry ring scale, asymmetry and unbroken shell glow.

How to wear it: a mabe pearl is domed at the front and flat at the back, so it sits lower and more securely than a fully round pearl of the same width and will not spin on the finger. That makes a stone this large surprisingly practical for daily wear. Slide it on last, after lotion and fragrance, and wipe the surface with a soft cloth when you take it off.

JEWELRY CARE

Avoid harmful solutions, exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor precious metals - gold, silver and platinum – and may harm some colored gems. Everyday substances like hairspray, lotion, perfume or other cosmetics can contain chemicals that will permanently damage the surface of your pearls and other delicate or porous gems (i.e. turquoise).

Fine jewelry should be removed before diving into a chlorinated swimming pool or before using household cleaners. Many of these cleaners contain ammonia, which can be too harsh for delicate gems or vintage jewelry. Chlorine bleach, another common household solvent, can pit or damage gold alloys.

CLEANING

The safest way to clean your jewelry is by wiping it with a lint-free cloth or with warm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush.  Do no use any household cleaners, like chlorine and toothpaste.
