Small Diamond Baguette Earrings .60cttw 14k White Gold

These small baguette hoops are crafted from genuine 14k white gold, six tenths of a carat of natural diamonds channeled across the polished outer face. Each earring is a compact round hoop rather than a stud, its baguettes laid end to end so the stones form an unbroken white line across the front. The inner wall is pierced with open scallops to lighten the build, and a snap back closes it.

How to wear it: the hoop closes with a snap back, a hinged post that clicks down into a notched catch underneath, which is the most secure closure in this group and the reason these can be worn day after day without a second thought. Small hoops like these read neat with a collar and vanish under loose hair, then reappear with an updo. Stack them with a stud higher on the ear.

JEWELRY CARE

Avoid harmful solutions, exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor precious metals - gold, silver and platinum – and may harm some colored gems. Everyday substances like hairspray, lotion, perfume or other cosmetics can contain chemicals that will permanently damage the surface of your pearls and other delicate or porous gems (i.e. turquoise).

Fine jewelry should be removed before diving into a chlorinated swimming pool or before using household cleaners. Many of these cleaners contain ammonia, which can be too harsh for delicate gems or vintage jewelry. Chlorine bleach, another common household solvent, can pit or damage gold alloys.

CLEANING

The safest way to clean your jewelry is by wiping it with a lint-free cloth or with warm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush.  Do no use any household cleaners, like chlorine and toothpaste. These types of products can erode some of the metals often used in diamond settings, and they may loosen prongs or even dissolve the metal completely.Ref. GIA.edu
