Double Halo Pearl & Ruby Ring 7MM Pearl 14k Yellow Gold

This double halo ring is crafted from genuine 14K yellow gold around a round freshwater pearl at its center. A tight circle of round rubies is claw set into polished gold close around it, then an outer ring of freshwater pearls floats clear of the mount on posts of its own. Measuring 17mm by 17mm on a slim plain shank, the cluster carries flower like structure and real width across the finger.

How to wear it: the head measures close to seventeen millimeters across, so it wears more like a small brooch than a ring. Give it a bare ring finger and skip the stacking band, because the outer pearls stand proud of the gold. Perfume and hairspray dull nacre, so this goes on last and gets a soft cloth afterward.

JEWELRY CARE

Avoid harmful solutions, exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor precious metals - gold, silver and platinum – and may harm some colored gems. Everyday substances like hairspray, lotion, perfume or other cosmetics can contain chemicals that will permanently damage the surface of your pearls and other delicate or porous gems (i.e. turquoise).

Fine jewelry should be removed before diving into a chlorinated swimming pool or before using household cleaners. Many of these cleaners contain ammonia, which can be too harsh for delicate gems or vintage jewelry. Chlorine bleach, another common household solvent, can pit or damage gold alloys.

CLEANING

The safest way to clean your jewelry is by wiping it with a lint-free cloth or with warm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush.  Do no use any household cleaners, like chlorine and toothpaste. These types of products can erode some of the metals often used in diamond settings, and they may loosen prongs or even dissolve the metal completely.Ref. GIA.edu
